poor mans Whoop, the Eachine e10s Review
With all the tinywhoop clones lately I almost overlooked eachine’s $56 e10s. Not today, I have one in hand and I’m ready to put it to the test and see if it really is as good as the real thing.
Right out of the box, you are done… no modding, soldering, assembling of any kind. You can get straight into binding your tx and tuning betaflight. I have the frsky version so I didn’t need another pricey DSM transmitter.
What I love about the original tinywhoop is that you really didn’t need to be a good pilot, just point the thing where you want to go, and go bashing and bouncing off everything. While the stock inductrix flight controller was well suited for this, actually being able to tweak betaflight is a whole new level of stability and control.
All right so does it whoop like a tinywhoop?
Yes, there not really much more I can say… but the e10s is everything a stock og tinywhoop is… just a hella cheaper and no damn candy~ oh… calm down fanboys, not everything is perfect and I’m not saying it beats a TW.
I don’t like these antenna’s… wtf, its not replaceable (in an easy manner) which is no better than the TW. My guess is that eachine is just dumping these old AiO cameras so expect either antenna surgery or better yet a new AiO sooner or later.
I do like these batteries, 3.7v 240mAh… they are just cheaper and easier to charge. I get maybe 3 minutes flight time.
Would I buy the e10s?
Hell yeah, I’m all about saving cash especially if the product is just as legit. I can buy my own gummybears and 2 e10s’s that aren’t DSM.
