If you have the knowledge and skill needed to fight your way past the CC3D flight controller configuration then the DYS X160 mini miniquad is a huge amount of fun and I was hugely (positively) surprised. Here are my thoughts:

– it’s pretty quick for a small quad
– the flight controller is tuned for novice to intermediate fliers
– it’s a great size for small areas

– the CC3D is far more problematic than a Naze32
– doesn’t feel fully “locked in” when pushed hard
– the CMOS camera is not good on a cloudy day
– the supplied FPV antenna is crap
– it is not plug and fly (but it should be).

Test setup:
– Turnigy 800mAH 20-30C lipo
– Skyzone video goggles
– Skyzone DVR
– FrSky D4RII receiver
– FrSky Taranis transmitter
